Behind the Brand: Coral Crest Nutrition
Creating an image library for a new Pensacola nutrition business
Meet Dr. Yvette Malcolm-Theriault, DCN, RD, LD
Founder of Coral Crest Nutrition &
The Rebalance Program
When I met Yvette, she was building Coral Crest Nutrition around something she cared deeply about: helping people make practical, sustainable changes to the way they eat and live.
She had already done the hard part. She had the knowledge, the vision, and a clear idea of the kind of business she wanted to build.
Now she needed images that could help her share it.
Photographing More Than the Business Owner
Of course, Yvette needed professional portraits. But a branding session can tell a much bigger story than headshots alone.
We wanted to show the different sides of Coral Crest Nutrition — Yvette as a knowledgeable professional, the personal connection she brings to her clients, and the everyday choices around food and nutrition that are at the heart of her work.
So we built her session around the ways she would actually need to use her photographs — polished portraits for her website and professional profiles, relaxed images of her working, and photographs that showed her interacting with a client.
Then we moved into the kitchen.
Showing What She Does
Fresh vegetables, food preparation and cooking gave us an entirely different set of images — ones that could immediately communicate what Coral Crest Nutrition is about without needing a paragraph of explanation.
Some photographs included Yvette. Others focused simply on the ingredients, the process, or the details.
That variety matters.
A business needs photographs for more than an About page. There are website banners, social posts, educational content, emails, marketing materials and all those little spaces where the right image can help tell the story.
Even Yvette's wardrobe became part of that story, incorporating the soft sage and coral tones of her brand in a way that felt natural rather than staged.
A Brand With a Person Behind It
What I love most about Yvette's gallery, though, isn't any individual ingredient or carefully planned brand detail.
It's that she is visible in it.
You can see the professional. You can see the educator. You can see her working with someone, preparing food, laughing at her computer and simply looking into the camera with quiet confidence.
By the end of the session, we hadn't created one photograph to represent Coral Crest Nutrition. We had created a library of images Yvette could draw from as her new business grew — images that showed not only what she does, but the person her clients would be trusting to guide them.
The dream and the work were already hers. My job was simply to help her show the world.
